The Rod Man is a family owned business that was set up to provide long lasting fishing equipment to charter captains. We have brought back the use of carbide guides on our rods to eliminate the problems that occur with the use of new synthetic lines.  We thoroughly explain to you what is the best equipment to use for the type of fishing you wish. Sam Scott rods have been in existence for more than 55 years and if you want or need more rods, we have them!

Who We Are

 Steve Kellner started The Rod Man in the 70's. He has recently retired from his job as a lawyer with a trade association to focus his attention on fishing equipment. He has over 35 years of experience in boating and fishing the Chesapeake Bay area.

Eric Kellner joined Steve full time after closing his boat dealeraship, Nautical World. Both brothers strive to help you get the appropriate equipment for the fishing you desire at the best available price.

The second generation "Rod Men" include Eric's three sons.

Brad Kellner has been part of the team for over a decade. He has recently graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Business Management and is eager to follow in his uncle and father's footsteps.

Greg Kellner has been with the team for over five years learning the in and outs of the business. He too has a Degree from Salisbury University and is a full time teacher in Montgomery County.

Doug Kellner joined the team several years ago before he left to become a professional chef. He looks forward to rejoining the team once he graduates in May of 2009.
